“The cottage is beautifully decorated throughout to an excellent standard. And the owners were very welcoming and accommodating.

A lovely welcome package including bread and milk, butchers sausages and bacon and a lovely bottle of wine was waiting for us. This was a really nice touch and was greatly appreciated.

We spent half our stay relaxing in the private hot tub! But there is also plenty to do in the surrounding area.

Haidrians wall is nearby, and a waterfall named Crammel Linn is worth a visit. Our group didn’t mind long drives so we also visited the Farne Islands on the east coast and The Lake District.

You also get use of the owners swimming pool which is in a fantastic setting”.

Overall, we had a great time!
